You can listen to the songs for this Sunday below (except for one). One of the songs we'll be singing together Sunday is new and isn't available on Spotify. It's a really amazing song called "No Longer Slaves" and it's on Bethel's latest album. When I listen to this song, I am so encouraged by the freedom we have in Christ. It reminds me a of scene from Braveheart where William Wallace cries out to his troops before battle: "They may take our lives but they'll never take our freedom!!!"
This song is a similar cry; with the freedom we have as adopted sons and daughters of God, nothing can take that away. The chorus cries: I'm no longer a slave to fear I am a child of God In the second verse it proclaims: I've been born again into a family Your blood flows through my veins I've never thought about the image of Jesus' blood flowing through my same veins. We know we take communion and drink his blood as we are told to do, but as His adopted children who have been transformed, in one sense it's His blood within us! This is a powerful picture. Since His blood, the blood of the King, flows through our veins, we can never lose our freedom! You can listen to this song here: this weeks songlist is listed below in the spotify playlist |
